This actually marks the first month of my journey and I congratulate myself for getting this far 😀 What happened this week was very interesting. The advertisement that I promoted got a lot of engagement from my target audience and up until now, even if I already deactivated it, I’m still getting some likes and shares from organic traffic. See the screenshot of the reach of my campaign
You can see from the screenshot above that the organic traffic is about to overtake the paid traffic, and this is actually one of my metrics to determine if a post will go viral since viral promotions are the ones where you get more reach organically compared to your paid reach, that’s why even if I already stopped the campaign, there are still people liking and sharing the post organically. Also, as what I have told you last week, I created a brand new facebook fanpage for this project. The fanpage as of this writing has already got 198 page likes and the engagement is about to breach the 7000 level, and with this, I created a custom audience for page engagement and as of today, it already contains around 3700 audiences that I know is very engaged to the niche that I selected, and I know that if ever I promote some products related to this niche, I can guarantee that it will also get the same engagement as the first product that I promoted. To expand my reach, I have also created a look-a-like audience based from this page engagement audience, and the generated audience has about 2.1 million audience in it that are most likely have the same behavior as the seed audience, so if ever I promote niche products in this audience, I might be able to get the same engagement so this is actually a great result of my first campaign
Here is the summary of the stats of my promotion’s engagements
First Sale
Woohoo! I actually got my first sale after a day of promotion and see below for the screenshot. My first customer ordered 3 variants of the product and I was very ecstatic that time because I know that the audience that I targeted actually buy products online and its really awesome especially if it’s the first sale 😀
Challenges
The challenge I had this week is that I didn’t really get a lot of sales. Even though the engagement is high, it still boils down as to how much money you keep to your pocket, and this is actually the reason why I already stopped the campaign because the sales is just not enough to justify the continuity of my first campaign. I was actually getting a few add-to-carts but some just don’t push through with the purchase. But it’s okay because I am just starting out again and besides, I still have other products related to this niche that I can promote to them.
Below is the breakdown of my sales and costs
- Total Adspend (Feb 13 – 19): $256.60
- Number of products sold: 7
- Gross sales: $81.90
- Product cost: $11.97
- Net sales: $69.93
- Profit/Loss: -$186.67
The loss is actually a bit significant, but then, I realized that with this campaign, I was able to build a more targeted audience which I plan to promote my next product, so it’s actually not really a loss but you can call it “investment”
Anyway, I guess that summarizes my week. For this coming week, I will be promoting 2 different products to 4 different audience groups including the 2 audience groups that I tried to promote to last week. I included them because Facebook has recorded a few add-to-carts on those audiences, so I know that there are buyers in there and I just need to hit them with the right product. The other 2 groups are the page engagement custom audience and the look-a-like audience of the page engagement custom audience. For my budget, I will still be spending $10 for each audience groups, so all in all, my daily budget is $80. Also, since I already have enough data on my facebook pixel, I will be using Website Conversion Ads (WC) optimizing on the View Content pixel. Remember last time that I started with a Page Post Engagement ads (PPE) because my pixel has still no data but since I have already captured enough data, it’s already fine to use the WC ads
I guess that’s all for now. See you again next week for my progress on this journey
