If you are building a website to grow your business (and your bank account), good design and killer content isn’t enough to “cut the mustard” any longer.
In the past, a beautiful website with valuable content was all you really needed to blow through your competition – especially competition that was particularly slow moving to take advantage of everything the internet had to offer.
Today, however, nothing could be further from the truth.
With all of your competitors – and we’re not just talking about locally, but globally – just a few clicks of a mouse away (and only a few seconds away), you can’t afford to have your website load slowly any longer. (Check out my actionable tips to speed up your website)
Speed – or lack thereof – will kill your business.
Google Loves Fast Loading Websites
Google (and all of the other major search engine networks) measure the speed that your website loads and factors it into just how high your website ranks when people search for the products and services you offer.
A slow loading website that is in otherwise perfect fit is going to be shuffled closer to the bottom of the list than the top, and that will cripple your targeted traffic faster than you ever thought possible.
People Are Impatient Nowadays
On top of that, visitors are more impatient today than they ever used to be before. If your website doesn’t load instantly (or almost instantly), your potential customers are going to click off of your website and onto the competition’s without a second thought.
Thankfully though, with the help of plug-ins like WP Rocket, you’re going to be able to crank up the speed of your website without having to handle any of the heavy lifting on your own.
A little about WP Rocket
A self-contained WordPress plug-in, WP Rocket is going to handle ALL of the website optimization you need behind the scenes on its own – almost automatically – to speed up the delivery of your website in ways you never before thought possible.
With just a few clicks of a button to configure WP Rocket, you are going to be able to turn loose this technology to:
- Create page caching that institutes ultrafast load times
- Create cash preloading to speed up your website and the indexing of your site on search engine
- Compress static files to minimize your document and data needs
- Release images only on request (the way that YouTube, Facebook, and other major websites do) to lower your bandwidth demands
… And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
You are also going to be able to minimize unnecessary files, combine files together (like multiple CSS files, for example), eliminate query strings without breaking the functionality of your site, institute “lazy loading” protocols that only (instantly) load content pieces as necessary, and take advantage of database optimization technology – right from WP Rocket – that allows you to overhaul your server backend for faster loading pages, too.
Best of all, ALL of this technology can be taken advantage of immediately after you install the WP Rocket plug-in.
Literally all you have to do is purchase a license from WP Rocket, install the plug-in through your WP Admin Panel, configure the details you want to take advantage of, and then let WP Rocket handle everything else for you. (In a few days, I will create a complete walk through on how to properly set this up so you can take advantages of its features)
You’ll obviously be able to tinker with different settings as you go along (and as necessary), but for the most part WP Rocket is about as close to a set it and forget it kind of WordPress optimization plug-in as it gets.
What I Like
The benefits of using WP Rocket are off the charts, which is exactly why more than 870,000 websites (and counting) around the world are taking full advantage of everything that this WordPress plug-in has to offer.
Easy To Setup
For starters, you don’t have to worry about in overly complex or convoluted installation or set up process when you move forward with WP Rocket. This isn’t a confusing tool to use the way that W3C Cache is, but is instead going to help you hit the ground running as quickly as possible and with as little set up as necessary.
Speeds Up Your Website
Obviously, the speed benefits that your website is going to enjoy our second to none, too.
We are talking about dramatically reducing the amount of time it takes to load your website, speeding up your backend resources without having to invest in new servers, and giving you the opportunity to serve your website and your content in the blink of an eye.
Ability To Remove Query Strings From Static Resources
The ability to remove query strings from static resources will clean up the code of your website, too. This helps to avoid “infinite loops”, helps to improve the sustainability of your site, and certainly makes your website more “Google Friendly”, too.
Active Development And Continuous Performance Improvement
The fact that the developers behind WP Rocket are ridiculously active in the community doesn’t hurt, either. This isn’t the kind of WordPress plug-in that is going to be abandoned or orphaned anytime soon.
What I Don’t Like
Not Free
You have to look very, very hard to find ANY drawbacks when it comes to using WP Rocket – but most folks would tell you that they would prefer it if this WordPress plug-in was 100% free of charge.
Other open source and free plug-ins like W3C Cache, for example, definitely exist. But you’ll have to spend a tremendous amount of time playing around with the set up to get things running right, will have to constantly monitor your installation to make sure it is still running smoothly, and will inevitably have to troubleshoot this plug-in on your own as support and updates can be all over the place.
With WP Rocket you don’t have those problems.
You have to pay a little bit of money to take advantage of everything WP Rocket has to offer almost everyone that uses this plug-in would consider that a more than fair trade off.
Pricing
The pricing of WP Rocket depends on the number of wordpress websites installations you need, see below for details
The one I have is the Plus since I have other projects, though if you only have 1 website, the single license would suffice.
Final Verdict
At the end of the day, you’d have to be at least a little bit crazy not to take full advantage of everything that WP Rocket has to offer.
With this plug-in installed, you’re going to be able to dramatically improve the low time and speed of your website, generate a much better user experience, and boost your search engine results and rankings – all at the exact same time!
Try out WP Rocket today. You won’t be disappointed. FYI, WPisLife is powered by WP Rocket 😉
